Shifo and partners join hands
to strengthen registration, data quality and use to make vaccines work for every child
Our goal is to see that every mother and child is reached with preventive healthcare, no matter where they live. We work to equip health workers and district level actors with timely and relevant data to continuously improve heath service delivery.
We develop and implement innovations to strengthen health system in close collaboration with local partners to ensure ownership, scalability and sustainability. Our main focus lies on implementing interventions that can be integrated into existing health information structures, that can be used to collect and share individual women's and children's health data in all types of environments, whether urban or rural.
We address three main issues: the health workforce shortage; the absence of accurate and complete data, and lack of sustainable electronic health information systems. We do this by enabling the following:
Reduced administration time for health workers by more than 60% per child fully immunised
Individual health records from all health facilities including rural areas, regardless of infrastructure
Because operating costs are equal to or less than existing systems, our solutions can be sustained in the absence of donor funding
